Did you know Eric Nadon started training in striking arts like Kickboxing, Boxing, and Muay Thai before going full-on in BJJ?
On this week’s , learn why he ❤️’s BJJ, teaching all ages, and what he sees himself doing at 70 yrs old.
Eric has been training in martial arts for 15 years and is OAMA’s BJJ instructor teaching both adult and children programs.
“It’s always been a dream to do something that I am passionate about, something I love doing for a living, and that’s what I’m doing now.”
When asked why he loves the sport, Eric said, “Martial Arts can be difficult, BJJ is one of the most hardest to learn..overcoming little challenges every day builds self-confidence by accomplishing things. I can apply this to my life and it helps me become who I want to be. It builds self-esteem.”
“Everyone who comes through our door at OAMA is always accepted. Being surrounded by people who really care about you and being a part of something bigger than themselves…the feeling of acceptance.”
Eric enjoys teaching the skills he’s learned to others. If you are looking for tips or guidance for training at home, feel free to reach out to him on Instagram @ericnadonbjj or Facebook Éric Nadon.
If you have never seen one of Eric’s fights, here’s a throwback video of him from 2016 at a Ground Games event, when he submitted Andy Chou with a Bow & Arrow (Berimbau) choke. It’s one of the most powerful and most fearsome submissions in the game.

Join a Zoom class to learn from Eric or any of our instructors. BJJ and Muay Thai are offered every day!
We know it’s been a long haul. And training isn’t the same as in the dojo. We encourage you to connect with our instructors for guidance or ideas on training at home. They are also available for 1 on 1 private training. Our staff team is here and eager to teach you and help you with your goals.
We’d love to see you in an online class. And we can’t wait to see everyone on the mats and in person soon.
