Did you know 50% of women who leave an abusive situation return?
Often it’s because they feel stuck and unable to provide for themselves and their children. This is why Harmony House was founded.
They are Ottawa’s only second-stage (transitional) shelter, helping women & children by bridging the gap after an emergency shelter, and giving them a safe place and resources needed to feel empowered again.
Professor Hammer sat down with Sandra from Harmony House to learn more about what they do for our community, and how we can help.
Watch the full interview here on OAMA’s YouTube channel.
OAMA’s upcoming Women’s Self Defense Seminar is in support of this amazing organization.
It’s free to attend and we are asking for donations to help Harmony House lower this statistic. Help us make a difference!
