My kids started training at the Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts after meeting Sensei Hache at a Birthday Party. After watching them train for a year I decided to try it myself, although I had not every done a martial art before. Both my kids and I have grown enormously with the help of the teachers and the other students, physically, socially and emotionally.

I've been a member here for the past 9 months and cannot say enough good things about OAMA. The instructors are world-class and their dedication to the club is unreal. There's such a great vibe here, the members you roll with become family and you help each other advance and improve. It's such a humbling experience and I highly suggest it for everyone; kids to seniors and everything in between. They offer a free week for anyone that wants to try it out and it's a great way to see how you like it. Everyone is friendly and it makes it so easy to jump in and have fun. I've been training here since January and I don't see myself changing schools anytime soon. I'm hooked. The instructors are full time professionals in their disciplines, and they are all very approachable and will make time for students. They always emphasize the students are a team. We are all there to support each other and challenge our training partners to raise their levels! Many of the students compete regularly in regional, national, and international tournaments. The quality of the student body is high. When I attend class I feel like I'm learning from people who are professionals at what they do, which is literally true for some. Everyone who trains and teaches here follows a tone of respect too. I hope to get many years of training here!

OAMA at Montreal Fight League 18

OAMA’s very own Aaron Kruger will be representing our team in the Montreal Fight League on Saturday, September 19th.

Aaron has been training hard in preparation for this fight. He is in stellar shape and can’t wait to get into the ring!

You can watch it live on MFL 18 PPV. We will post the PPV details closer to the date.

Recently, Professor Matt “Hammer” Hache and Kru Amy Reid had a chance to sit down with Aaron to discuss one of his earlier Wreck Thaiboxing fights. This was his second fight ever and only 5 days after his first! That’s true beast mode!

Aaron gets a beautiful flash knockout only 10 seconds into the match, startling his opponent. You definitely want to check it out!
